Hey! I have noticed lots of you, my readers, are loving my how to style post, So I wanted to provide you all with another one of those! How to style a green dress in the winter or for the holidays.
I think a green dress is perfect for the holidays, it has all the feels of Christmas with the color, but it can be a little hard to style. Green is not always an easy color to wear but I have 9 perfect outfit ideas for you to help you wear your green dress this winter.

So lets get right into it. Here are the 9 green dress outfit ideas I have put together for you.
1. Green Dress, Chambray, and Booties
This is the first way to style a green dress. This look definitely shows off your preppy. Layer your green dress on top of a chambray shirt and add some cute booties with or without heels. Here I am wearing booties without heels because I think taupe booties go so well with a chambray, and I do not own taupe booties with a heel……
2. Denim Jacket with Sneaker Wedges
The second look is so easy to create and has a laid-back feel. You add a denim jacket on top and put on some wedge sneakers. I have come to love wedge sneakers lately. They go with so many outfits and give you a little bit of height but without feeling overdressed.
3. Dress, Scarf and Knee-High Boots
In this third way to wear a green dress you add a scarf and knee-high boots. I have on lace up boots but solid boots such a these would be super cute as well. Along with the boots if you have knee high boot socks to peek out of you boots, it will look so cute. You can also add an over sized bag to this outfit.
4. Nude Heels and Purse
This look is classic and elegant, that would be perfect for a holiday party or New Years Eve! I am wearing these block nude heels that are a must have for your wardrobe. There is not much to this look but yet it is the perfect way to dress up this green dress.
5. Fur Vest and OTK Boots
This look right here is one of my favorites. I added an oversized fur vest (or you could use a smaller fur vest, either would look great), over the knee taupe boots, and a wallet. Fur vests have such a winter feel. I think this outfit has so many elements it did not need a purse just a wristlet wallet.
6. Black Blazer and Pumps
This look could be great for work or if you just like blazers, like me. I love the look of a blazer, it is so put together and brings a feel of sophistication to your look. I paired this outfit with black strappy pumps. You could also wear regular pumps. Something I do not own that would look stunning and really brighten up the outfit would be a white blazer and white pumps. This is just a general idea of a way to style your green dress. You could wear different color blazers and pumps or mix and match the colors.
7. Printed Cardigan and Booties
I think these heeled booties are one of my favorite things to pair with this dress. Here I also have on a cheetah print cardigan. I think you could use different prints as long as they are neutral in color. I do love a good cheetah print and adding a touch of it with this dress is so cute. This look could also be a dressier look if you wear it with pumps.
8. Green Dress, Sweater, and Booties
I think this is an outfit often not thought of. We are so used to layering with shirts but hardly ever do it with a dress. Layering a tied-up sweater over a dress is the perfect way to style a green dress. You could use a white sweater, black sweater, oatmeal sweater, or red sweater (if you are feeling daring). This look has a soft girly vibe, add a big bow to your hair and everyone should notice how cute you are.
9. Black stocking, Booties, and Purse
This last green dress outfit idea I am wearing black stockings, black booties, and a black long strap purse. This look could be a little edgier if you care to layer it with a leather jacket. I think it is perfect just like this. I like all of the black with the dark green and there is something about adding sheer black stockings that just changes the whole feel of a look. Wearing stocking in the winter with dresses or skirts just keeps you so much warmer as well.
What color shoes to wear with a green dress
There are so many color shoes that you can wear with a green dress. As in all of my examples above, you could wear taupe, brown, black, or nude shoes. You could also wear these in a variety of types of shoes. I paired my green dress with knee high boots, otk boots, booties, block heels, pumps, and wedged sneakers.
I think it is best to stick to neutral colors especially with a colored dress. What color shoes to wear with your green dress is up to you and what you feel good in!
