Hey lovelies! I wanted to share with you all my summer self-care routine. I am more so going to share with you the products I use and let you know how often I use them. I believe it is so important to practice self-care because it makes you look and feel so much better! If you don’t have time to read it all now, you can pin it for later! So here are my 9 self-care products I use for the summer:

1. Tanning Mouse

Of course this is the first thing I am going to start with. Lol. I love being tan especially for the summer. But we all know how bad the sun is for aging your skin. Even though I do layout some because I find it very relaxing, I try not to lay in the sun too much. So, this is my go to. I love the dark color I find the light mouse leaves me looking orange. I use this tanning mouse about once a week maybe every week and a half if I am feeling lazy…

2. Tanning Lotion

We also need to stay moisturized during the summer! I love using this tanning lotion because between the mouse and this lotion I feel it keeps my skin looking a great natural tan color. I use this lotion the day after I use the tanning mouse. So I use this lotion about once a week as well. Then I use my regular lotion daily.

3. Sugar Scrub

Before using the tanning mouse I always exfoliate. I have truly never bought a body exfoliate before. I always just mix up some brown sugar and honey and use that. I like mine to be rather rough, so I use a little bit more sugar. But here is a great recipe for a diy sugar scrub, Or you can find plenty others that use things like oils on Pinterest.

4. Pumice Stone

This is another I item I use a lot during the summer. Wearing flip flops all the time my feet tend to get rough… and I do not want that! So use a pumice stone about once a week to keep my feet nice and smooth.

5. Nail-polish

This is my favorite brand of nail polish. I do not typically go to the nail salon I cannot afford to spend $50 every week to keep my nails nice. So I do them myself at home. I like to just paint my toes and fingers nails a nice solid color that matches. I do this about every two or three weeks. I swear one always gets messed up before they dry!! (anyone else?) But I still feel so much more put together with my nails painted.

6. Lash Lift Kit

This right here has been a game changer. Like serious life change. I do not see how I went so long without this product in my life! I use this lash lift kit to lift my lashes and laminate my eyebrows. I have finally found my perfect eyebrow shape, thanks to laminating my brows. Again, I cannot afford to go to a beauty bar and get my eyelashes and eyebrows done. So, I do them at home. And I enjoy doing them. I do this about once every 4 to 6 weeks. It does take a little bit of practice. I feel I am getting better and better each time. Also quicker. The first time took me like 3 hours! You can YouTube videos of women that use this kit and they will show you step by step how to do it. With my eyebrows I also tint them using the just for men’s hair and beard dye. One box last me months and months. And this last lifting kit last me like 5 or 6 times of doing both my lashes and eyebrows. With my eyelashes lifted and my brows tinted and laminated I feel amazing without makeup. I think this is honestly, If I had to give up any self-care products this would be the absolute last to go.

7. Face Cream

This kind of goes in with my new face regimen but I wanted to include it because I just started using a retinal cream a few months back and I am so glad! Unfortunately, I cannot link to one. The one I use was prescribed by a dermatologist. I was having a little bit of acne, and she prescribed this for my acne, to help with fine line, and to even skin tone. It works amazing! The dark circles under my eyes have lightened so much. If you have having any issues with your skin I suggest speaking with a dermatologist.

8. Pore Strips

I use these about once every two or three weeks just depending how my pores look. Sometimes the pores on my nose seem a little large so I throw one of these on (according to the directions) and the next day my pores look small again.

9. Face Mask

Then the last thing I want to share about my summer self-care routine is a peel off face mask. I do not do these as often as I want. I would love to get one done every two or three weeks. But it is more like five to six weeks that I do one. These mask help with my pores and just make my skin look tighter and brighter. I am not to sure of what they do for your skin, I just think they feel so good!

There is pretty much everything I use for my summertime self-care routine. For the most part I use this year-round. A lot of times when winter rolls around I do not do the self-tanning mouse or lotion.
