8 Ways to Style Black Wedge Sneakers for Everyday
Today I am sharing with you 8 ways to style wedge sneakers. Before we get into that I just wanted to chat a little. Because with every blog post I write, I state how I am going to start blogging more, but it never seems to happen. School has been crazy busy; I am in my last semester for my undergraduate degree. Wish me luck for the rest of this year because it has been tough. I dd have sometime a week ago to shoot some content. *** Update – when actually posting this I have official finished my bachelor’s degree, I have accepted a job that I will be starting next month and this content was taken two months ago. I take way to long to actually write a blog post.. haha.
On to the actual blog post I am sharing how you can style wedge sneakers 8 ways.
1. Wedge Sneakers and a Band Tee
Starting basic, this is just a basic go to for wearing wedged sneakers. Pairing them with a band tee and jeans. Who does not have a great pair of jeans and band tee that they love to wear. This is such an easy look to throw on. It is simple but cute. This look can go year-round. Most of these looks are great for spring or fall, the transitional seasons. You can also use this look in the winter by layering a long sleeve turtleneck under your graphic tee.
2. Leggings and Oversized Sweater
Here we are a little comfier. A pair of legging and oversized sweater. I wore this look several times last year. Again, super easy but cute. I also threw on a hat this day but obviously this look would still work perfect without a hat. This is actually a photo from last year but is a look I will for sure wear again this year.
3. Midi skirt with Sneaker Wedges
This is one of my go to looks for many occasions. I think a midi skirt is a great way to look cute while feeling casual. I like adding wedge sneakers with it to add a little high and elongate my legs. This would be a great daytime look to go out and run errands, a casual first date look, or exploring a new town. I wore this outfit earlier this year while visiting California for the first time.
4. Black Jeans and Wedged Sneakers
Black jeans and a tank top, this is a look that I feel transfers great into a night on the town. While I have recently been loving skinny jeans, I think the black jeans with the black shoes goes best with skinny jeans so you can really see the sneaker wedges. This outfit makes me feel like I am going to a concert or out for a night of fun.
5. Sneaker Wedges and A Dress
Here is another casual day outfit. This look is perfect in the spring or the summer. Any cute dress, I have on a solid dark red dress, and a denim jacket, will look great together. This look, just like the midi skirt and tee shirt, is perfect for a casual lunch or running errands, because who says you can’t look cute while running errands.
6. White button up with shorts
A white button up has quickly because a staple in my wardrobe. I can not believe it has taken me so long to get one. I love wearing this piece causally. Here I have paired it with jeans short but you could also pair it with jeans for fall or winter. I would opt for straight leg jeans with this look.
7. Cardigan and Wedge Sneakers
A cardigan and a tank top, I do not know any pairs of shoes (that I can think of) that would not go with this look. This is a basic look that I could not live without. I have been wearing cardigans since high school and I have no plans of stopping. They are so comfortable and warm. I bought this one from Walmart a few years ago for under $20.
8. Shorts and Flannel
The final way I will share on how to style your wedge sneakers are with shorts, a tank top (or tee shirt), and a flannel. This is such a transitional way to style your wedge sneakers. I love wearing looks like this when I am out of town or at a theme park. That way you can wear the flannel when you are chilly and tie it around your waist when you are not. It is also perfect for entering a new season such as spring or fall.

Anyways…. wedged sneakers are such a cute and comfortable shoe it is not hard to come up with different ways to style them but I hope this guide help give you some ideas and easy ways to wear your wedge sneakers. I think they are a great staple piece to every wardrobe. I purchased mine from Walmart a year or two ago for under $20 and I love them. Walmart typically sells them in the spring and fall, in the colors Black or Taupe. I purchased the black pair because at the time I thought it went with more things in my closet. I have slowly been transitioning my clothes to a lighter color palate with a lot of beige and taupe colors. Maybe this coming year I will buy wedge sneakers in a taupe color.
