Hello, Long time no post. Lol.
I have not put up a blog post in a while, I have been so busy with school and everything that is going on life is still a little crazy. You would think staying home all day every day would give me more time to be on my blog. But it feels like the complete opposite.
Now on to what my post is actually about…. How to style a chambray top. Depending on where you live these looks could be perfect for spring or summer. Here in NC it gets pretty hot during the summer so these are more of a spring look for me.
Either way I hope these outfits can give you a little bit of inspiration for when we are able to be out and about in town again. I will link either the same or similar items right below the pictures. So if you would like to check out an item just click the small product picture!
1. Tee Shirt and Sneakers
Keeping it casual with a cute boyfriend cut stripped top, leggings, and sneakers. On a side note this perfect stripped top is from Walmart for only $6! Putting the chambray around your waist can add a little bit of interest to a normally plain look. This look if perfect for running errands (are you finished those errands? are you finished those errands? …. any other Spongebob fans here. lol) or going to a theme park (when they open back up).
2. Leggings and Peep Toe Booties
This look is another causal look but the cute peep toe booties make it for running errands or going out for lunch. Everything with this outfit is so comfortable- the leggings, the chambray, and the block heel booties. As much as I like dressing up, I still enjoy comfortable clothing.
3. Dress and Heels
This is a super girly/ preppy look for a chambray shirt. Wearing a dress with the chambray tied up makes it look put together and adding block heel (I think these nude block heels are like my fave heels that I own) makes it dressy.

4. Wear it as a Cardigan
Wearing this top as a cardigan is perfect for spring, this can go with the first look (around the waist). So if you get too warm you can just tie it around your waist. I love a pop of color underneath the chambray, but honestly any shirt would do. I paired it with my peep toe booties again because these are great spring shoes. They are comfortable and very open.
5. Colorful Jeans
This look is great for the beginning of spring when there is sunshine but its not to warm out yet. I love breaking out the bright colors for spring and summer to brighten up my wardrobe from the dark colors of winter and fall.
6. White Maxi Skirt and Floppy Hat
This is a good way to use that floppy hat you thought was only for fall. I feel I should be walking around a farmers market in this outfit. The white flowy maxi skirt with a tied chambray top and floppy hat are perfect for warm weather and being out on the town, maybe walking around downtown. I paired it with my block nude heels because I think it gives it a little more of a chic element. It would still be just as perfect of a look with wedges or even flip flops!
7. Layered with a Cardigan
This look is similar to look number 4. I changed my heels and put on a cardigan over the chambray. This gives more of a layered look and again is great at the beginning of spring or if you live some where with cooler temperatures. This look is kind of giving me 80’s vibes with the neon top and scrunchie in my hair! lol. Of course you can layer with a different top maybe a plain top and a colorful cardigan.
Again everything is linked under each picture and I hope you liked all my ways to style a chambray top. Let me know in the comments which is your favorite or how you style your chambray shirt!
Love, Crystal
