How I fixed my smile and how you can fix your smile too!
My Smile Then
I had to dig this photo out from waaaayy back. Fixing my smile has been a long time in the making. I did not realize how long of a process it would be.
The first step to fixing my smile was to whiten! I went to the dentist and had whitening trays made. I whitened my teeth at home kind of on and off for a year. It would be a little while before I had the money to fix my teeth. So I was not very consistent with whitening them. Because it is such a slow process to whiten some times I felt it was not working. Now I see it definitely was.

My teeth were whitened to (almost) my liking. I would always think my teeth could be whiter, so I eventually had to stop. Plus I was ready to actually fix my teeth. I went around to different dentist offices getting quotes and suggestions on what to do. (On a side note: that little tooth you see on the left is a baby tooth. There was not a permanent tooth under it at all. Eventually my baby tooth was gonna fall out and I wanted to be ahead of that. Ekkk, that would be awful to walk around without a tooth for a few days or weeks… )
I found a dentist I really liked in my price range with a plan I was happy with. I was getting a bridge and a veneer put in. First step was to grind down three of my teeth and pull my baby tooth. I was in the dental office for like 3 hours. They did all kinds of molds and had to numb my mouth what felt like 30 times. Then I got a temporary bridge and veneer till my permanent one was made and my gums healed a little. I walked around with my teeth looking like this for a little over two weeks.
My Temporary Smile
They were very very yellow and had to be shorter then my teeth so I would not break them. I also could not bite into much of anything. Then after the two weeks I got my bridge and veneer put in. I had to wear it for a few days with some temporary glue in instead of the permanent cement.
My Semi-permanent Smile
As you can tell my new teeth are much whiter then my other teeth because the glue gave it a super white appearance. My gums need a little time to heal between taking out the fake ones and placing the new ones. I really did not take many pictures these days so this one I had to zoom in really close (that’s why it is fuzzy lol).

Now I am so happy with and love my smile. I wish I could have fixed it sooner. Here is a little before and after comparison.
I did not know there was such a big difference till putting these two photos together. I hope this helps give you an idea of what is like getting your smile fixed. Hope you enjoyed and will share with anyone thinking of having work done. Have a happy Thursday!
